Cheree Cook – Production Accountant

Cheree has worked as a Production Accountant for the last 15 years, starting out initially on off-peak television and progressing in more recent years to Feature Film.  Cheree has been fortunate to work on many wide and varied productions both on a national and international scale.  Cheree has experience with NZSPG (New Zealand Screen Producers Grant) and also works on projects in development and post-production.

Cheree has worked on projects that take many forms, working with various accounting software packages and stakeholders that have diverse accounting and reporting requirements.  A selections of the productions Cheree has worked on include:

·      COME TO DADDY an International Co-Production (NZ/Ireland/Canada) with a NZSPG component, Cheree was the NZ Production Accountant;

·      A WAR STORY a made for TV Movie funded by NZ on AIR, Cheree was the Production Accountant and worked with an assistant;

·      BABY, DONE an NZ Feature Film, with international cast, Cheree was the Production Accountant and stayed with this project through Post Production;

·      DARK TOURIST an NZ made Netflix Series, that filmed internationally, Cheree was the Production Accountant;

·      MODERN DINOSAURS a 6 part Non-Fiction Series (Discovery TV), that had NZSPG and international funding, Cheree was the Production Accountant;

·      The JUSTICE OF BUNNY KING an NZ Feature Film, with NZSPG Cheree was the Production Accountant and stayed to do the Post Production accounts;

·      COLOURS OF CHINA, this 3 way international co production (NZ, CHINA, GERMANY) is both a Feature Film and a TV series, with an NZSPG component, Cheree was the NZ Production Accountant;

·      MULAN, an International Studio Feature (Disney), Cheree worked primarily as a 2nd Assistant Accountant, working as 1st Assistant during wrap; and

·      TRIANGLE, a pilot for a TV series (ABC Studios USA), Cheree was the Production Accountant and assisted with the NZSPG application requirements.
