Who can apply?

The PICTURE course is for producers based anywhere in NZ with a film project in advanced development. There are 8 places available. Entry is by 3-minute pitch (see Registration to apply).

What is the application process?

Step 1: Fill out the registration form on this website. The deadline for registration is THURSDAY 4TH JUNE 2021 @ 8pm (Deadline has been extended)

Step 2: Applicants will be invited to pitch their project for 3 mins on Monday 14 June 2021

Step 3: Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 18 June 2021

What are the course dates?

A series of 8 three-hour (10am-1pm) workshops delivered weekly on Sunday mornings beginning 27 June 2021 (with a 2-week break at the halfway mark).

Where will the course be held?

Vista Group, Shed 12, City Works Depot, 90 Wellesley Street West, Auckland CBD (or via Zoom for people living elsewhere than Auckland).

How many spaces are available on the course?

There are 8 spaces available on the course.

What is required for the three minute pitch?

Your three-minute pitch should include an overview of the story, the genre of the project, the intended audience of your project, and details about the key creatives involved. A rehearsal pitch can be made available to applicants, if required please contact info@sharetheknowledge.co.nz

Is there a cost to the course?

There is a subsidised fee of $700 +gst for course participants.

NZFC ARE NOW OFFERING SCHOLARSHIPS FOR A NUMBER OF PLACES - If you are interested, simply tick the Scholarship box on the register form, and if you are offered a place in the course, the NZFC will cover $500 of the cost for you.

Do I have to be available for all sessions?

Yes, it is a prerequisite for the programme and is included in the registration form.

Can only producers apply for the Picture course?
