Janelle Hope.jpg

Janelle Hope

After graduating from Massey University in 1996 with an Arts degree majoring in Psychology and Education, Janelle travelled extensively overseas, eventually landing as a bright-eyed enthusiastic 24-year-old in Melbourne. Here she tirelessly networked her way onto a local television production as an Art Department Runner, where she began to learn the ropes of fast turnaround television.

While in Melbourne, Janelle noticed a shortage of experienced Art Coordinators both in New Zealand and Australia. She decided to hone in on this niche area by consolidating her previous office management experience with her newly gained film & tv experience forge a 22-year career in Art Department Coordinating.

Janelle has worked extensively in New Zealand, Australia, and Fiji on large scale international studio feature films, streaming television series, local independent movies, and network television. During this time, she has immersed herself in other roles such as Art Department Manager, Art Department Estimator, Costume Supervisor, Travel and Accommodation Coordinator, SPFX Coordinator and Cast Coordinator.

Janelle loves the fast-paced, ever-changing nature of the industry as well as the like-minded people involved. The creative diversity and project-based nature of the industry have kept her on her toes. No two jobs are ever the same, which is what makes this career captivating and exciting!
